This Privacy Policy explains how Quran Widgets ("we", "us", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application. Quran Widgets is an Islamic utility app that provides home and lock screen widgets, prayer times, Quran verses, duas, a Hijri calendar, a tasbih counter, a fasting tracker, and related religious content.
By downloading or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This policy was last updated on May 24, 2026.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Profile and onboarding information: When you set up the app, we may ask for a display name, age range, mood, how you discovered the app, your topics of interest, your intentions, and reading preferences. This information is stored locally on your device to personalize your content.
- Location information: With your permission, we access your approximate or precise location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction for your area. You may instead select a city manually, in which case no device location is used.
- App content and preferences: Favorites, collections, saved verses, prayer settings, reminders, streaks, fasting log entries, selected wallpapers, widget settings, and your chosen language. This data is stored locally on your device.
- Photos and media: If you choose to set a custom widget background or wallpaper, we access the image you select from your photo library. Selected images are processed on your device.
- Purchase information: When you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple, Google, and our payments partner RevenueCat. We receive your subscription and entitlement status but never your full payment card details.
- Device and usage data: Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, unique device or advertising identifiers, crash reports, and analytics events describing how you interact with the app.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize core features such as prayer times, the daily verse, widgets, and reminders.
- Calculate prayer times and Qibla direction based on your location.
- Send local and push notifications for prayer times and reminders you enable.
- Process subscriptions, unlock premium content, and verify entitlements.
- Display and measure advertisements.
- Diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve stability and usability.
- Understand aggregate usage trends to improve the app.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
App Permissions
The app requests certain permissions only to enable specific features. You can grant or deny each permission, and you may change your choice at any time in your device settings:
- Location: Used to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction for your current location. Optional — you may select a city manually instead.
- Notifications: Used to deliver prayer time alerts and reminders you configure. On Android, exact alarm and boot permissions ensure reminders fire reliably and persist after device restarts.
- Photos and Media Library: Used to let you choose a custom image as a widget or wallpaper background. We only access images you actively select.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): Used to ask for your consent before using your data for personalized advertising.
- Advertising ID (Android): Used to deliver and measure advertisements.
Advertising
The app displays advertisements provided through Google AdMob, which may include banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats.
- If you consent (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS or the advertising identifier on Android), ads may be personalized based on your interests.
- If you decline, you will still see advertisements, but they will be non-personalized (contextual).
- Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

We work with trusted third-party providers that may process certain data on our behalf. Each provider handles data according to its own privacy policy:

Data Storage and Retention
Most of your personal preferences and content (profile details, favorites, collections, prayer settings, reminders, fasting log, and selected location) are stored locally on your device and remain under your control.
Data processed by our third-party providers (such as analytics events, crash logs, and subscription status) is retained according to their respective retention policies. We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the app's features and comply with legal obligations. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With the third-party service providers listed above, solely to perform the functions described in this policy.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in ownership.
Security

Account Deletion
Quran Widgets does not require you to create a traditional account to use its core features. To delete the data associated with you:
- Uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally on your device, including your profile, favorites, collections, reminders, and settings.
- To request deletion of any data held by our third-party providers (such as analytics or subscription records), email us at omirella537@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law.
International Data Transfers
Our third-party service providers may process and store your information on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to these providers, who are required to safeguard it in accordance with applicable laws.
Changes to This Policy
